What creates marketing success?
A question we are often asked, and one we believe has a simple answer, and that is knowledge and understanding of your potential.
A successful marketing strategy is actually very easy to achieve. The knowledge we gain from the close relationships with our clients, is purely based on relationship and understanding of a clients business model. If a business has and is trading successfully within its market sector, it already has a track record ascertained to its success, but also a direction for its potential growth. Marketing is the ultimate vehicle to create that further desired success. By working with the client in a consultancy basis, Marketing Impact creates that success 100% of the time, but in every relationship it is about trust and collaboration.

What should I be spending on marketing?
When we set out with a client, it is about establishing what is affordable, but of course a marketing spend has to be realistic. If a client wants a fully search engine compliant website, they will also need to be committed to an ongoing process of marketing techniques to promote that website. This could include search engine optimisation, email marketing, social or viral marketing and other marketing techniques that are appropriate in gaining traffic to the website, and increasing the profile around the products or service that is sold via the site. A simple term, but a term used consistently by marketeers is 'integrated marketing'. One medium for example may gain results, but utilising several mediums in an integrated fashion will gain a much higher level of results in relationship to spend.
So a gauge for spend is very simply, what is affordable and what is tangible. We prefer to concentrate on the spend associated with the results achieved, and build on the momentum of increased turnover and profits. If your spend is 5% of profit initially, it is very likely you will need to continue to spend 5% exponentially.

Many of us have visited business seminars, and seen that success very often comes through the creativity of the business owner, whether it is a unique offering or a creative methodology in standing out from the competition.
This is exactly why marketing collateral requires a similar attitude. In marketing their is a well-known term 'perception is reality', and it is so true. If your marketing is poorly delivered, the perception of a potential customer is your service will probably be poorly executed, and this could be a subconscious or conscious thought. National and International brands and companies have invariably created the high degree of success because their marketing is of a high standard, and the SME market place should adopt the very same attitude to create success.
In a split second you can attract a new client
Research has shown that the human mind makes a great deal more subconscious decisions that it does conscious decisions, and at great speed we use an almost 'tick box' like method to come up with that decision. Also our subconscious mind is assertive, which in the case of most of us, this is a total contrast to our conscious decisions. Your marketing needs to be prepared for a 'tick box' decision process, so firstly your brand will need to tick the right box, the words you use will need to tick the right box and the same for images. Also your marketing has to be structured correctly, or the important elements won't feature in that split second decision. This is why it is so important to recognise the ability of your marketing to engage with a potential client, and the quality of each piece of your marketing collateral needs to tick the 'yes' box in all instances. This is why we are called Marketing Impact, as marketing is almost pointless without creating the impact.
